Ocean Beach Canine Carnival and San Diego Pets Magazine

Hello all!

It has been a while since I've posted and much has happend in my life, as well as in the bigger scheme of things with the upcoming election and other happenings. I had a booth at last Sunday's Ocean Beach Canine Carnival and had a blast. I saw and met so many wonderful doggies and nice people. It was fun! It was the OB Kiwanis' third annual Howl-O-Ween Festival with a costume contest and parade led by canine celebrity Parade Grand Marshal, Bandit the Biker Dog -pictured. http://www.banditthebikerdog.com/. I was blessed to have my own lovely dog, Ginger there along with my good friend Alex. They were quite the troopers all day, greeting people, giving out information and helping me so I was able to do readings. Thanks Alex and Ginger!!!

In addition to offering psychic readings to people and their pooches, I talked to people about pet nutrition, gave out free samples of Stella and Chewy's freeze dried meat food and treats http://www.stellaandchewys.com/ and information and free bully stick gift cards from Paw Country holistic pet store http://www.welcometopawcountry.com/ and helped to promote "YES on Prop 2". I also had free copies available of the Peninusala Beacon (OB's newspaper) and San Diego Pets Magazine. http://www.sdnews.com/ and http://www.sandiegopetsmagazine.com/

I have an article in the current, September/October issue of San Diego Pets magazine. Happier You - Happier Pet appears on page 20. You can download a copy from their website or read it online. Also at their website you can find out where you can pick up a print copy. Here's a link to the readable/downloadable copy http://www.sandiegopetsmagazine.com/pdf/sdpets.pdf. This link will probably only temporaily go to the current issue. They will replace it, most likely with the new issue once it is published.

In other news.....it's election time! How am I voting?

Barack Obama for President! http://www.barackobama.com/ change, change, change - it's time!
Yes on Prop 2! http://www.yesonprop2.com/ more humane treatment of farm animals
No on Prop 8! http://www.noonprop8.com/ supports basic human rights

There are definitely other candidates and issues worthy of mentioning, but these are my top three to show my support of. Whatever your beliefs...make your voice heard and get out and vote on Tuesday, November 4!

If I met you at last Sunday's OB Canine Carnival....thanks for stopping by my booth - Wild and Tame Wellness and Communications. For more information about me and my services I can be reached via email at sindisomers@gmail.com or cell phone at 619-384-0761.

Wild and Tame Walks - Dog Walker for Hire in San Diego - Based in Ocean Beach

I walk my dog, generally twice a day. We go on long walks and enjoy each other's company and the many sights while getting some much needed exercise. Being a retriever, she also enjoys the myriad of smells along the way.

I also love walking and spending time with other people's dogs. I love dogs. Because I love dogs and other animals, I've created a business assisting them and their people.

Don't feel guilty for working long hours. Your dog's gotta eat! Hire me; The Wild and Tame Dog Walker to relieve your guilt. Try me out and see what a difference a Wild and Tame Walk can make for you and your best friends.

Your dog(s) will appreciate my enthusiasm, gentle approach and love of the canine species. I incorporate positive reinforcement and the belief that dogs have feelings too.

Looking for a Pet Psychic in San Diego or Anywhere in the World?

GOT GOATS?

I love what I get to do. Recently I did a reading that included several pets that were physically present. Before during and after the reading the dog that was there would come over to me for a verbal hello and pets. How lucky am I that I get to spend time with pets and their people! And as the photo implies I can even give readings to livestock, as well as wild animals. To find out more about a recent experience reading wild animals in captivity visit my other blog at: www.sandiegopsychic.blogspot.com.

If you have questions about what I do, please feel free to email me at
wildandtame@gmail.com or call me at 619-384-0761.

If you are not in the San Diego area, I offer long distance services. Your reading will be recorded, burned to a CD and then mailed to you. So no matter where you live on the planet, you can receive a reading and healing from me!

Oh and...I'm now on myspace! Check me out at
www.myspace.com/wildandtame and come be my friend!

Have a great, wild and/or tame day!

I haven't written for a while and wanted to at least say hello....so hello! One update is that besides my Ocean Beach office location in San Diego, I am am now offering readings, healings and animal communication sessions by appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Paw Country pet store in La Mesa. http://www.welcometopawcountry.com/. Paw Country is a healthy pet store, with the most nutritional food and treat options, humane collars, as well as supplements, vitamins, toys and more. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I've been shopping there for my pets since I moved down from the Seattle area a year ago. I became their part time Marketing Director and Event Promoter a couple months after that, and am excited to now be offering my reading, healing and animal communication services there.

I do want to emphasize that in addition to reading pets and their people, I also enjoy reading people that may not even have pets. I began doing psychic readings and energy healings with people only and my love of animals directed me to work directly with them, as well as people. Before beginning to officially work with the world's wild and tame animals, people would come to me with their pet questions. I am excited to be able to offer many different options for people with and without pets, pets, as well as wild animals. To read about my experience reading, healing and communicating with wild animals in captivity, please visit my other blog, http://www.sandiegopsychic.com/.
If you will be near Balboa Park this weekend you can come meet me at the Healing Festival that will be happening there on Sunday. I will be there from 12 noon until 6:00 pm, but the festival actually starts at 10:00 am. I won't be reading there, but will have business cards and my mailing list available. I will be helping to sell t-shirts with Mozis Wear http://www.moziswear.com/. I'm not sure what booth number we are in, but know that we are located by the music stage. If you're in the area, I'd love to meet you!
Thank you for reading my post. Have a great weekend!

Reading and Healing the Wild and Tame

I am very excited to be a part of two wonderful fundraising events to assist animals in need this weekend. On Saturday I will be offering readings at Paw Country, formerly The Holistic Hound and cats too! pet store in La Mesa. Paw Country™ is located at 5652 Lake Murray Blvd. La Mesa, CA 91942 and can be reached at 619-463-1134. They are hosting their One Year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm.

I will be accepting donations for my readings and then contributing them to Elliot Rover's Ride for Life Foundation in conjunction with the San Diego Animal Support Foundation. Elliot will be riding his bike from San Diego to Vancouver B.C. in September. His trek is to raise funds to assist animals who have illnesses and injuries that are in shelters and rescues, or whose owners have limited financial resources. His mission is to help prevent performing euthanasia on animals that have curable life threatening illnesses or injuries. I will be at Paw Country beginning at 10:00 am and with the exception of breaks will be there throughout the day. A schedule will be posted at the store for customers' convenience.

In addition to my readings and Elliot's fundraising, Paw Country will be offering FREE samples, FREE training advice at the "Ask a Trainer" booth and discounted items throughout the store. Come CELEBRATE with us at Paw Country!

On Sunday, I will be offering readings at an adoption event for Pitbull Rescue San Diego. All donations for my readings will be given to the rescue. The event will be at Pet People in Mission Valley located at 5664 Mission Center Road, San Diego. I will be on-site from about 1:00 until either 2 or 3:00.

In addition to that I will be getting involved with a group that has formed to stop the city of San Diego from destroying the off-leash fenced dog area of Fiesta Island. There are plans to make part of this park off limits to off-leash dogs. If you are interested in getting involved, please visit
their website http://www.fidosd.com/ at or email them at info@fidosd.org.

Welcome to Wild and Tame

Hello and thank you for reading my blog! If you are interested in finding out more about me and my psychic readings and healings you may also want to visit my related blog at http://www.sandiegopsychic.blogspot.com/. If you are interested in learning more about my work as a Wedding Officiant and/or you are planning a wedding or similar ceremony, please visit http://www.weddinginsandiego.blogspot.com/.

Okay, so you may ask who and/or what is Wild and Tame Communications? My name is Sindi Somers and I am a professional psychic reader, energy healer and meditation teacher, among other things. I also love marketing, promotions, graphic design, visual and performing arts and writing. Pretty much every interest of mine involves communication in some way, so having the word Communications in my business title seemed fitting. A version of the banner above will be on the website I am creating. I don't have the main page Wild and Tame Communications banner done yet. The banner shown here will be on the page that announces my love of and experience in design and writing.

As far as the Wild and Tame part; I love animals. We tend to use the adjectives of wild or tame when describing animals. If we want to attach these adjectives to people, I would like to suggest that we all have both wild AND tame attributes within ourselves. I thought the name Wild and Tame would be a fun business name and to me it is a way to communicate my love of animals and my deep passion for assisting animals in need. I enjoy assisting animals, people and the planet we all call home.

Celebrate your wild side and enjoy your tame side. Wild and Tame - the new yin yang - creating balance in every aspect of ourselves and our lives.

I can be contacted via email at wildandtame@gmail.com or by phone at 619-384-0761. Have a wild and/or tame day!
